The Chamber hosted their annual Best of Beverly Hills Golden Palm Awards Gala on Monday, October 15, at the lovely Montage Beverly Hills Hotel. Guests enjoyed an elegant reception filled with photos and fun while tasting hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Following the reception, attendees gathered in the Marquesa Ballroom for dinner and the presentation of the esteemed awards. In between awards, Keith Chagall featuring the Dana Bronson Trio performed, filling the room with wonderful, live music.  Dancing with the Stars duo Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd brought a fun energy to the stage as emcees for the night.

Chamber President and CEO, Todd Johnson and 2018 – 2019 Chairman of the Board of Directors, Charles L. Black kick-started the night with an introduction highlighting the purpose and passion of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce. Beverly Hills Mayor Julian Gold M.D. addressed the crowd, as well. Later in the night, guests participated in a live auction led by Mellisa Nielsen. A few of the auction items included Golf with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a VIP experience for 30 to the Petersen Automotive Museum and tickets to Dancing with the Stars.

The evening recognized exemplary businesses and people in Beverly Hills who have shown excellence in 2018. The award categories included: the Fred Hayman visionary Award, Modern Luxury Award, Innovation Award, and the Business Excellence Award.

FRED HAYMAN VISIONARY AWARD: This award is presented to an individual or business that has brought an extremely positive impact on the BH community. This individual or business is known in the BH community as enthusiastic, an out-of-the-box thinker with a long-term vision. They exemplify drive, focus, and perseverance to deliver and bring people together to achieve the vision. WINNER: THE HONORABLE LILI BOSSE

MODERN LUXURY AWARD: The Modern Luxury Award is given by the Chamber in partnership with Modern Luxury, the publishers of our official publication of the Chamber. The award is given to a business that exemplifies the words: modern and luxury. Both are unquestionably critical to a thriving business community in the luxury capital of the world.  The Modern Luxury Award recipient is regionally known as a pinnacle brand of luxury while also seeing the importance of innovation relating to both physical products, services, and practices. WINNER: MONTAGE BEVERLY HILLS

INNOVATION AWARD: Businesses who excel in having created and implemented an original idea, which demonstrates marketplace success and practical development.

BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARD: Businesses who lead by example as they demonstrate excellent practices in employer and employee relations, guest services, and neighborhood relations.
