Sherry is known as a go-getter in the Beverly Hills community! Her high energy, her positive attitude, and her professional skill set has resulted in an iconic reputation for making the future happen in a meaningful way. Her unique blend of creativity and strategic planning has been proven since the inception of Epiphany Boutique in 2007. For the past three years since relocating to Beverly Hills, Sherry has established her business as an immediate success and a leader in the South Beverly resurgence.
Prior to Beverly Hills, Sherry began her boutique journey in Dallas. Epiphany is a unique lifestyle boutique that focuses on an eclectic mix of apparel, accessories, gifts, and handmade jewelry – all of which combine the best of vintage Parisian style with a laid-back cool SoCal flair.
The business name was chosen because the word ‘epiphany’ is unique and has no synonyms or duplications. Rather it is a feeling or an emotion that comes with a sudden realization or the essence of something. It is an intuitive perceptive approach to naming a business; a metaphor that beautifully describes the boutique and its ambiance.
Sherry is also active in the City, serving as a Women’s Business Network board member – under the guidance of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, as well as an active participant in the Government Affairs Committee. Sherry was recently accepted as a new member of the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills and also is a proud member of Visionary Women.
What is your favorite thing about your current job?
The most rewarding outcome of being a small business owner in Beverly Hills has been my hands on experiences with our people. I have been warmly received and accepted by friends, colleagues, neighbors and clients. I am grateful for my smooth transition and will always feel compelled to give back to the community that consistently supports small business.
Where are you from originally?
I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio. Yes, I’m a Midwest girl at heart, a Buckeye and a grad from THE Ohio State University. I have had the opportunity to live in various places including New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas and Los Angeles (twice) which is my forever home.
What are the top 3 reasons you enjoy the Beverly Hills business community?
I love the sense of community in Beverly Hills. The City of Beverly Hills, the Chamber, and the people support local business are here to support each other.
When did you join the Board?
I have been an active member of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce since 2021 and was recently elected to become a member of the Board of Directors. My goal going forward is to engage in every way to support the Chamber of Commerce and provide guidance and leadership for years to come. I intend to continue my commitment to the City of Beverly Hills as we move forward as an unparalleled community.
What is your favorite Chamber event?
My favorite event is the Women’s Business Network annual gala, Women Who Shine.
As the Gala Director 2023 and 2024, I provide leadership and direction to accomplish our goal – which is to support and empower women while acknowledging their accomplishments. We pride ourselves in delivering an experience that provides compelling speakers, impressive success stories and inspiration for all who attend. This event provides a platform for optimizing connections and relationships!
What is one piece of advice you would give new Chamber members?
Take initiative and get involved…the rewards and benefits are unsurpassed!
When you aren’t working for your company or the Chamber, what are your favorite pastimes?
My favorite pastimes are doing spending time with my family, chilling with friends, traveling to Paris as often as possible, exploring everything that makes California what it is.…home.
