Chris Rivielle is President and CEO of Plant Construction Company. He spent the first two decades of his career in the New York construction industry, where he worked for Tishman Construction as Senior Vice President, responsible for development and management of Tishman’s interiors group. Chris also taught in the architecture department at the New York Institute of Technology as an adjunct professor for several years and served on the architectural review board in Garden City, NY. Prior to joining Tishman, Chris was a Senior Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank in New York. Chris has worked closely with a broad range of corporate clients, including Moody’s, Bloomberg, and Citigroup. His expertise includes corporate headquarter development, project management, contract negotiation, lease consulting and management. Chris serves on the Executive Committee for the Bay Area Council where he is also a Co-chair for the Bay Area Council’s Transportation Committee, and an active member of the SPUR Urban Infrastructure Council.
Chris has grown and diversified Plant’s project types significantly in the life science, higher education, heavy civil, affordable housing, and public sectors, and recently expanded operations to both Los Angeles and the South Bay. Plant recently delivered the largest commercial construction project in the East Bay with their long-time client TMG on the new PG&E Headquarters at 300 Lakeside in Oakland, the award-winning Pier 70 Building 12 + 15 project for Brookfield, as well as Wilson Meany’s massive undertaking on both Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island.
The San Francisco Business Times named Chris one of the Most Admired CEO’s in 2020. Under Chris’ leadership, Plant has been recognized on Engineering News-Record’s Top 100 Construction Managers-at-Risk list for the first time and by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies, both in 2021.
