On Thursday, October 6, 2016, the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce held our signature event, An Evening With The Mayor. We were joined by over 300 of our members, esteemed guests, and local colleagues as Mayor John Mirisch delivered the annual State of the City Address. The event took place at the iconic Greystone Mansion overlooking the city at sunset.

The evening began at 5 pm with a beautiful reception featuring wonderful livemusic by Kirschner Creative Artists and impeccable hor d’oeuvres and drinks provided by Il Fornaio, Cobblestone Wine, Dassai, Beverly Hills Beignet, and Beverly Hills H20. This year, our guests were even able to arrive in style and get home safely with an exclusive Chamber code for a free round-trip with Uber!

At 6 pm everyone filled the seats in the formal gardens to witness the State of the City Address. Chamber President, Todd Johnson, kicked off the announcements with special thank you and regards to our sponsors. Then our Board President, David Haimovitz, welcomed everyone to the Chamber’s signature event and gave a warm introduction to Mayor John Mirisch.

Mayor Mirisch’s  speech spoke to the prevalence of hard work, forward-thinking, and reputation rooted in Beverly Hills. He gave insight on where he sees the city going in the coming year in terms of developments in transportation and what we as patrons of Beverly Hills can do to bring the community forward in unison. It was truly an honor to hear the Mayor’s speech, which reminded all of us that we are a part of one of the best cities in the world.
