The Chamber’s Economic Development Council (EDC) consists of an exclusive group of top business professionals in the City who meet once a month for lunch at a local restaurant to network and to hear a high-caliber speaker talk about a relevant public policy or economic topic. It represents one of the Chamber’s most exclusive networking events.
The EDC has hosted speakers such as Former Presidential Candidate Michael Dukakis, Dodgers President Stan Kasten, Metro CEO Phil Washington and the Consul Generals of France, Germany and Israel. Members of the EDC include senior City officials and members of the City Council, Rodeo Drive brand managers, large property owners, money managers, bankers and lawyers who have done business in the City and Region for decades.
The EDC provides access for its members to the latest information on regional business trends and activities, not only in the City, but also throughout the region. The exclusive investment opportunity of Economic Development Council annual membership is $2,700.
Membership, attendance at lunches and other affairs is only open to EDC members and invited guests.
